When it's from a lumberyard!

Maine may be the only state where you can still buy full size lumber... and the bracket hardware to build with it!

A long, long time ago, in a place far, far away I was building a lattice style patio cover.

All the lumber I bought was called "rough sawn," with a pleasing finish for the application, and was full dimension. 6"x6" posts were exactly that, and the lumber yard had the full dimensional mounting brackets, etc.

If one has never heard the word Nominal the following should be done.
First stop trying to build anything ,
second remove demeniiosn lumber from their anal orifice !

This was an industry satndard adopted to prevent people such as litigants from getting screwed with same lumber described as needing to be removed above.
