US balks at backing condemnation of anti-gay laws

UNITED NATIONS "“ Alone among major Western nations, the United States has refused to sign a declaration presented Thursday at the United Nations calling for worldwide decriminalization of homosexuality.

In all, 66 of the U.N.'s 192 member countries signed the nonbinding declaration "” which backers called a historic step to push the General Assembly to deal more forthrightly with any-gay discrimination. More than 70 U.N. members outlaw homosexuality, and in several of them homosexual acts can be punished by execution.

At least someone had the good sense to stand up for state rights!!!

What is this about? I don't get it. Two people LUV each other, what is criminal about love? How barbaric to consider love between two people a crime punishable by... gulp... death.
Must be all them awful Christians, they are the only ones hateful enough to want to harm one of these gentle people.
No one else in the world could find fault with two people in love.

Anyone pick up on the tongue in cheek rabble that only Christians find homosexuality as an unacceptable lifestyle. Why are they trying to shove it down our throat? (bad way of describing the agenda)

No Kenny - it's not surprising. Islam and Christianity come from the same roots and have the same biases. Both of their founding books call for the execution of homosexuals.

Christianity's founding book is the New Testament. Where is that it in there?
