The Brunswick School Department has now created the ultimate monopoly. They now no longer replace those who are retiring but rehire those who have reached the retirement age of 62 to maintain the current numbers of teachers in the system. They can keep this going for only 31 years by which time they will have figured out another way to keep it going. In the meantime they increase the cost to the taxpayers by at least 3% per year from their now average salary of over $60,000 per year including health and retirement benefits. Nice work if you can get it, but tell it to all those going to college to be teachers who might want to come to Brunswick to work.
