I'm merely temporarily enchanted by the phrase "nancy-boy" and wanted to use it in a sentance. Sorry to be confusing.

Me-Perturbed -

I don't like nasty, mean people. I like intentionally nasty, mean people even less.

I don't care how intelligent you are; how well-read, or otherwise intellectually endowed.

Be a jerk? Fine. You can be a jerk all by your lonesome.

Interesting. Does Mrs. Cenci know of your new found interest? Will you be starting a coming out thread like Mr. Toth?

:D

Did anyone else bother to read the solid 65-line single paragraph two posts up? Fill me in with a brief synopsis when you get a chance, somebody. Thanks.

Maybe on...Some enchanted evening, you will see a nancy-boy!!!

What are you talking about anyway? It's a good thing I'm in a good mood.

What's this about Mr. Toth's thread? I'm not keeping up.

I was just surprised to find out that you are enchanted with nancy-boys.

Not that there is anything wrong with that!

Wrong again. I wrote that I was enchanted with the _phrase_. It's not the same thing!

26 lines. If you believe that language means something and how we use and respond to language reflects something about ourselves and our thinking as well as how others perceive us to be ( real or imagined ) it's a fair read.

Is it just me, or is Alan Toth's writing style from the 19th Century?

Thank you.

Read your post again. It is pretty funny when you think about what you are trying to say and how badly you say it.

I lost 2 points on an english test because of excessive use of commas and semi-colons. It was gramatically correct and I lost the points for no other reason that the teacher did not like 100 words or so in 4 sentences. Been a little adverse to them ever since. :P

Language means something.
It reflects both on our "selves" as well as how we think.
Our use of language and how we respond to it affects how others see us.

Which reminds me, numbers mean something too.....now we know Naran's screen resolution and can imply something about her eye sight. Sometimes I forget that you folks don't see things on the net the same way I do because of simple differences in window size and screen resolution. Silly me.

Here's the Comma-cal version:

"If you believe that language means something; and how we use and respond to language reflects something about ourselves and our thinking, as well as how others perceive us to be (real or imagined), it's a fair read."

Commas simply allow the brain to refocus for an instant, and to gather thoughts in an orderly fashion.

Students still iffy on safety of Ocala National Forest

By JESSICA RIFFEL
Alligator Writer

Denise Rains, a spokeswoman for the USDA Forest Service in Florida, said murders are extremely rare in the park....

The forest has two law enforcement officers, and...county officers to patrol the grounds....

But the park spans almost 400,000 acres.

Bodies are occasionally found in the park, but the murders usually do not occur on park grounds, Rains said.

"When murders happen, the bodies are sometimes dumped here," she said.

Man is indicted in Ocala National Forest slayings

The Associated Press

Leo Boatman, 19, of Largo, allegedly confessed Wednesday to the slayings of Amber Peck and John Parker, both 26, said Sheriff Maj. Chris Blair.

"He gave a detailed description and made statements of facts that were supported by the evidence of the event that unfolded the day of the homicide," Blair told the Ocala Star-Banner.

Boatman will be arraigned in February, but prosecutors have not decided if they will seek the death penalty.
