Should Hillary Clinton go to jail?

This week's Left Brain, Right Brain- Should Hillary Clinton go to jail?

Lance Dutson: The Republican presidential candidates may be in the process of self-immolation, but Democrats should be even more terrified about the looming prospect of Hillary Clinton being indicted for her likely illegal and definitely irresponsible do-it-yourself home email server.

Steven Biel: The controversy around Hillary Clinton’s emails is one the most absurdly overblown political stories I’ve ever seen. Not only will she not be indicted, but she should be given a prize for keeping her emails out of the State.gov server, which is notorious for leaking like a sieve.

Lance: A prize? Hillary Clinton illegally routed U.S. government correspondence to a secret server in her house. It’s an unprecedented and illegal maneuver that showed she cared more about disposing of documentation that may hurt her political career than protecting information that may hurt our nation’s interests overall.

She should be indicted. That

She should be indicted. That would in effect end her political career and remove any possibility of her ever becoming President. Being an incompetent Secretary of State does not warrant jail time, if it was 90% of those holding political office would be in jail.

Good grief, talk about

Good grief, talk about hacktastic. Biel actually thinks Hillary's home brew server was more secure than the government servers? That must be why they've extradited a Romanian hacker who claims to have accessed her server.

By the way, I don't think for a moment that she will be indicted as long as Democrats control the executive branch.

Why yes, she should go to

Why yes, she should go to jail.

If we also send Colin Powell to jail. For having an off-site email server just the same as Hillary had..

And if by "unprecedented" Lance meant "has totally happened before" then yes, it is unprecedented.

Did Powell use his email for

Did Powell use his email for personal business or govt business? Should be easy to find out, I doubt he deleted any emails unlike Clinton. And if there were classified documents on his email then by all means prosecute, especially if it means we can get rid of the Clintons once and for all, a good trade in my book.
Does Lewistonlibeal think that Obama would go after one of his people?

You can't blame hilarity for

You can't blame hilarity for any crimes that may have been committed , after all she's a product of her environment and should just be given a pass. Isn't that the liberal way?

As you say both should be indicted and if found guilty, jail time. The present concept for 3 or 4 decades is that NO US political criminals go to jail. It is unusual if they even get a conviction, as the Joe driving home after his daughter's wedding.

There is a long and dismal list of criminals giving a slap on the wrist because of, they are the elite or they just stole money, no one has an oui. This is nothing new, it has been a hallmark of Americana, of first world and third world nations throughout history.

The only thing that separates American politics ignorance of the fact is that we somehow ignore it and wrap it into acceptance as if murder does not matter, as if larceny, deception does not matter and the list goes on, because this is the rot of politics worldwide and where is my yacht, my payoff for being part of it.

Somethings never change and corruption in politics certainly does not, it is good that more see the corruption than they ever could in the past. The oligarchs must be working hard to shut down the internet, Al Gore's unintended consequence!

PM You have a simple nail and a hammer and you have missed the board entirely. Not only should she be in jail but so too should the 90% to whom you have referred.Case in point: Should not the Sect. of State be competent enough to recognize classified or top secret information when read? The obvious answer is "YES". Therefore by extension is not the President incompetent for having appointed such an incompetent person by failing to have recognized that flaw? Again "YES". Her blatant disregard for rules that protect the citizens of this country and those ignored and outright countermanded by the President amount to nothing less than Treason against this country. They are laughing at the citizenry. Is it any wonder that the re is no reason to believe that the reports of armed militias are growing? Does that concern you? Do you understand why?

Has anyone seen the latest blatant disregard for the FBI investigation of the former Sect of State?
This President has just told everyone that there will be no indictment by Presidential edict via MSNBC.
This man is beyond incompetent, he is delusional.

Obama is a criminal, and the power of the executive branch gives him carte blanche power to kill thieve, corrupt, deceive, whatever whomever he decides. The MSM and his faithful followers will allow him whatever he desires, whatever murder he decides.

'It is not illegal if the president does it' Richard Nixon.

Did you see all the criminal cronies honor Tricky Dick at his funeral?

All honoring one of their select group like the capos honoring Al Capone.

You are correct Mike as far

You are correct Mike as far as it goes with Nixon. But, I ask you or anyone to provide proof as to when Nixon willingly provided easy access, of our enemies at the time, to sensitive or classified information. OR when his Sect. of State denied protection to State Dept. personnel and let them die for the lack of it.

Nixon had his flaws but I highly doubt that his actions amounted to the treasonous acts of the current reprobates.

Oh I agree, our politicians are constantly getting worse. The real reason that Hillary had her private servor was so she could make sweet deals for payola for her and bubba. So she could better control access for her larceny and murder and delete and cover up.

And she is the one that the establishment wants to sit in the whitehouse, why ? because she knows how to make sweetheart deals and that is how the beltway prospers, while the rest just get poorer.

hilarity will not go to jail , she will pass go and she will collect $200.... Why? Because hilarity could strangle a small child on live tv and her supporters would say it was all right , infact they'd sat the child needed to be strangled......lynch and comey will shred what little integrity they have and this will be passed off as a security review.....The fix is in .....the gop clubhouse would rather have hilarity than trump...

Like Clinton, Powell used a personal email address. However, there’s a big difference: Clinton hosted her email on a private server located in her home. Powell did not.
We rate this claim Mostly False.
Politifact

And the email rules were implemented after Powell's term in office anyway.

Reuters:

A review last month by Reuters of previously released Clinton emails found 30 email threads that the State Department has marked to show they include information shared in confidence by foreign government officials, from prime ministers to spy chiefs.
U.S. government regulations examined by Reuters say this sort of information, whether written or spoken, must be classified from the start, and handled through secure, government-controlled channels.

The two emails found on Powell's personal account (not a home-cooked server) never fit this description.

I know this belongs in the

I know this belongs in the humor column but I couldn't help it. Not on the NY election eve.

Country Ride in a Limo . . . .

Hillary Clinton and her driver were cruising along an Iowa
country road one evening when a old dairy cow loomed in front
of the car. The driver tried to avoid it but couldn't.

The aged cow
was struck and killed. Hillary told her driver to go up to the
farmhouse and explain to the owners what had happened and
pay them for the cow.

She stayed in the car making phone calls.
About an hour later the driver staggered back to the car with
his clothes in disarray. He was holding a half-empty bottle
of expensive wine in one hand, a huge Cuban cigar in the
other, and was smiling happily, smeared with lipstick.

"What happened to you," asked Hillary?

"Well," the driver replied, "the farmer gave me the cigar,
his wife gave me the wine, and their beautiful twin daughters
made passionate love to me."

"What did you tell them?" asked Hillary.

The driver replied, "I just stepped inside the door and said,
'I'm Hillary Clinton's driver and I've just killed the old cow.'
The rest happened so fast I couldn't stop it."

The FBI, the same organization that protected mass murderers in cities like Boston just kissed Hillary's smelly arse

Cant wait for President Trump to make changes and put honest people in that organization.

OK, here's an opinion. Jim

OK, here's an opinion. Jim Comey knew full well that unless he found Hillary standing over the body, gun in hand, spewing fire, that no one was going to indite. Partially due to the hell that would be rained down on them. So he laid out the case and evidence as best as he could hoping ( maybe it's me that is hoping) that she gets convicted in the court of public opinion. Come Nov a resounding defeat will finally put HC away. With a landslide victory for the R's HC is never heard from again. Anyone who doesn't believe , after this, that HC is unfit for office---Well--there's no hope for them.

Either Comey lied or he was

Either Comey lied or he was ignorant about a DOJ prosecution of a Naval officer for doing pretty much the same thing that Ankles just got away with. Comey has been touted as an apolitical straight shooter. Guess he is now a full fledged member of the elitist class of unAmerican, un-indicted criminals.

After toeing the line for the incumbents, Comey's job (and probably life) are safe for now.
At least until the next time he's needed.

Hillary Clinton was never

Hillary Clinton was never going to be defeated by the Obama Justice Dept. She will have to stopped by the voters.

Not voting or voting for a third party candidate (like Perot in 1992) is the same as voting for Clinton, resulting in a Third World Immigration policy like Angela Merkle's, more lost American working class wages and jobs, more stupid ME wars, and a Liberal dominated SC for the rest of our lifetimes. America will be gone forever.

Here is an interesting take

Here is an interesting take on this announcement.

"He may have let her off the hook legally, but personally he has left the putative Democratic candidate scarred almost beyond recognition."

https://pjmedia.com/diaryofamadvoter/2016/07/05/did-comey-destroy-hillar...

<strong>""To the contrary, those individuals are often subject to security or administrative sanctions." What Comey is clearly saying .....in a normal, real-world situation Clinton would face consequences, quite probably be demoted or even fired, certainly not promoted to the presidency of the United States, for what she did."

At this point, Hillary is not

At this point, Hillary is not going to jail, and I doubt Secretary Kerry will impose sanctions. The Administration will provide Hillary and Trump security briefings after the conventions. In November, the voters will decide whether to "promote" her to the White House or not.
The Clinton haters will continue to impotently gnash their teeth, while the Trump haters will ignore the mess and focus on Trump's continued lying and other missteps.
There are millions of people who rarely, if ever, watch the news, and who don't have a clue that any of this is going on. (Sometimes I think they are the smart ones). They will vote in November.

David you are the top of the

David you are the top of the bomb with your last screed, the Clinton Haters?

Yes how could anyone irrationally hate the criminal Clintons? He was after all, according to so many, the first "black president". Apparently Obama is just second fiddle, because according to the presstitutes and you, Obama has reached the height of favorability to American voters, what is that 33 % on a good day?

But you don't like Trump, that is quite understood, maybe a Rubio fan or a former head of the Clinton/Bush team, Jeb?

You know why I like Trump because he pisses off azzholes like you, and considering the sorry state of American politics, that is the best that we can do. ; )

I don't think Trump really

I don't think Trump really pisses off his detractors. What's mildly annoying are the mental midgets who will vote for him, but these will be rendered impotent soon enough.
