Open Borders quietly fades away...

One good thing in all this mess. The Open Borders plank in the DNC's platform has broken. Everyone - even millennials - now understands what border crossings do for everyone. If you believe that current immigration or refugee acceptance is inadequate, you now advocate for higher quotas and more staff NOT for Open Borders. It literally changed in one week.

The Open Borders argument always ignored all the other things border crossings do, in addition to blocking the spread of human diseases. Stopping human trafficking, drug smuggling, other smuggling, cross-border movement of criminal fugitives, and stopping the spread of plant/crop diseases. All ignored in favor of an irrational emotional argument that was and is fundamentally wrong.

It makes no sense to allow hundreds of thousands of people to cross the border who have no vaccination for common diseases while blocking children from school for lacking one vaccination. And it's pretty unfair too. Inconsistency is also injustice.

Yah, it’s reusable cotton

Yah, it’s reusable cotton bags that are killing the guy at the grocery checkout making minimum wage, who wouldn’t have any health insurance if Tom and his ilk had their way.

Tom, still attending church, I hope, like all of your extremely bright brethren in Florida and Louisiana, poo pooing librul demagogues and the exaggerated dangers of COVID-19? Here’s hoping shitbags that don’t actually care for the truth of Mark 12:31 collect the their own ironic Darwin Award before they kill anyone else.

90% do not wash reusable bags

90% do not wash reusable bags.

If you want to use reusable bags, you must clean them!

This is why plastic improved health so much... disposability. People didn't wash things back then either. Switching off plastic requires behaviors... washing... that were never practiced.
