So go back to wrapping holiday presents or pretending you're working at your desk and checking out Obama's important abs. All is well with the coming World of Change.

Boy, I'll bet the Obama team is eternally grateful to the Obama team.

And I'll be the Obama team is relieved that they found the Obama team blameless.

For what? For naught, I say, can they be blamed when they are so blatantly blameless.

The theater of the absurd. 7 out of 10 Mainers voted for it.

Well, I won't believe a word of it unless it is stamped, officially, by the Office of the President-elect.

Even though there is no such office as the Office of the President Elect, I agree with Mr. Cenci. It needs the official stamp of the make believe office in order to be believable.

How many more, Mr. Speaker, how many more Official Reports will be presented without the unofficial official stamp of the Office of the President Elect? It's an outrage, I tell you, an outrage!!!

What's interesting to me as a news junkie is the mainstream media's unquestioning acceptance of the findings of an "investigation" conducted by those being investigated. It appears that the MSM serves as a watchdog only when Republicans are in office. When they're gone it becomes a lapdog.

What surprises me is that it took a whole week to spin this. Seems the Obama team is a bit slow. Perhaps they need a few more Clintonites on their team.

Did the Feds only tap Blago's phones and not his Chief of Staff?

I really want Obama to start wearing a Generalisimo uniform whenever he wants to remind us he is the Commander-in-Chief. Maybe a hat with big plume feathers too. Marcus Garvy style!

"There is no such office." Somebody better tell The Big O that one - I think I saw a sign on his podium the other day that SAID, "President Elect" - not sure if was preceded by the word "office of" or not, but the sign was definitely there. I don't remember ever seeing that with past PEs.

No links or anything to this, but I heard on the Quinn & Rose show that someone in the Prosecutor Fitzgeralds office had leaked transcripts of many of the tape recordings to the Obama Office.

Did anyone else hear of this? As I said I have no links or anything concrete to point to.

Here's an example of how two papers handled a development in the Illinois "pay to play" scandal:

Portland Press Herald (page A4): Review clears Obama, staff

Wall Street Journal (page 1): Obama, two aides questioned in probe

The PPH story, provided by the always-suspect McClatchey wire service, did not indicate that Obama himself had been interviewed by the feds. And the headline gives no indication that the "review" was conducted by the very people who are being probed.

The WSJ story, which said Obama indeed was interviewed, was straight-away and pointed out that the feds had not implicated the President-elect or his chief aide in any wrongdoing. But it managed to convey a certain skepticism about an investigation that was strictly internal.

ROFL! That was such a hysterical mental image, I had to go find a picture of his with said regalia.

President-elect Obama would differ with you, pmh.

There's even an official seal for this fantasy office!
As an off-the-subject bonus:
Check out the 'health care video' with Tom Daschle the 'newly nominated Sec. of HHS', sporting his new red-rimmed glasses!

I had this argument with an Obama supporter, me insisting there was no such office as president elect, if there were...he would be based in D.C. not in a hotel in Chigago. Her insisting that because its on his podium, its a real office.

I find it rather amusing that he cleared himself. Should be an interesting FOUR years..(fingers crossed

Kind of like the Alaska Personnel Board finding nothing improper about Sarah Palin's actions on the eve of the Presidential election? 8)

Not exactly, since the 3-person personnel board was bipartisan (with at least one of them a Democrat), had members appointed by Palin's predecessor, whom she ran against, and was dragged out by the board until "the eve of the election."

Oh. And Gov. Palin initiated the investigation herself.

But I don't think any of information that was kept from you, huh?

And given the fact that the Obama "team" holds no legal status in this regard, I am not sure why this is newsworthy to begin with.

Because the MSM will accept this and present this as 'official' and use it to deflect any criticism of the (hate speech...wait for it...) Great and Powerful O or his staff in this matter, regardless of their involvement.

Well, if anyone in an official capacity wants to take up the "investigation", it is there for the taking.

The investigation is underway. Obama and his staff have already been interviewed, with their personal lawyers in attendance.

Bill Clinton was at least in office before he was under investigation.

We should start a pool on the date of the first indictment of a member of the Obama administration.

John Kass, the mob-savvy tough-guy columnist for the Chicogo Tribune, believes that Gov. Blagojevich has sent a message to politicians in Chicago and in Washington.

Better make me a good offer, boys, and be quick, or this bucket I'm lugging will spill and everybody will get their loafers wet.

Kass’s implication is that some big-name occupants of the Chicago pig sty -- and some outside it -- may find their names dragged through the political mud if they play too fast and loose with Blago.

In this recent Trib column, Kass also reveals the Republican connection to the corrupt “combine” that runs Illinois.

Bob M,

We've had "official" statements from others in these threads who have no official standing; why not the Big BozO?
