Mike Michaud...Financial Disclosure Tidbits

We'll never know.Remember the clip of him driving around on the forklift in the "corporate casual" attire? Judging from his domination of the paper mill town votes, the unions really lapped it up. It's all so phony.

Mike Michaud...Financial Disclosure Tidbits

The Lewiston Sun Journal ran a page one story about Mike Michaud's financial disclosure. Drats, they didn't put the story on the website, but I'll hit some of the highlights:1. Michaud checked the wrong box on the form and reported that he had an account at a credit union in Millinocket worth 25 to 50 million dollars. He'll have to file an amended disclosure.2. He made $22,079 in the legislature in '02.3. He made $595 from Great Northern in '02. Maybe that was the day they filmed him driving the fork lift truck in his chinos and LL Bean shirt. You know, the campaign commercial portraying him as "one of us" for the benefit of the boys down at the union hall. $595!4. Michaud owns a house at 26 Greenwood Street in Augusta. He owns the house through M & M Partnership with non other than John Martin, D-Eagle Lake.5. Some other, unnamed, person is in on the partnership, apparently.6. Also staying at the House in Augusta were unnamed legislators, aides and staffers.7. No details on any home in Millinocket.Very interesting!

What is the net worth, Bob? Single all of his life, I'd figure the average industrious guy ought to be low-mid six figures anyway.Would've been interesting to see Kevin Raye's finances as well. They are often very revealing about a person.

Obviously, the guy is not a worker or saver or both. It makes me wonder what he's been doing for the past thirty years. Supposedly he's been gainfully employed since 1973.

The Mill paid him less than $600 in 2002.

I wonder what his w-2's for the last 5 years would show. It would be interesting to learn how much time he really spent in the mill, laboring with his brother labor union members.
