Maybe Bush will do the right thing tonight...

Bill, I'm sorry your intellectual deficit didn't understand.John said Bush answers questions directly and he shores up US credibility.I listed examples where Bush has said things and done a 180 when the polls suggested he might lose ground... and other examples where he has diminished US credibility. His speech was yet another example of how this guy is not credible not believable and seemingly out of touch with reality.Chris.

...As Johnson did in '67. I'd suggest he resign, but then Cheney would be in charge. Actually what the hell's the difference? Bush isn't running things, he's being 'run' by those around him.charlie

At leat he isn't running around with a slut in the oval office.Your rhetoric does more to support our enemies efforts than those of our nation.

I hear Bush is to announce that come June 30th he will turn the keys of government back to Saddam, saying the whole thing was just one big unfortunate misunderstanding over nothing.

Actually Paul, if his running around the oval office with a slut would have saved the lives of the 675? GI's who've died in Iraq chasing these phantom 'terrorists' we'd be far better off.Osama runs free but we have Saddam, big f**king deal. Priorities Paul, who took down the twin towers again?Fix your link Tom O!charlie

It was not our Commander in Chief.

Slut Lustin' Clint-tin sure did a good job setting up things for saving lives in the Twin Towers, didn't he... don't bother saying it wasn't on the Reno/Hubbell watch.

You mean tell the partisan press and the raving left to pack sand? No...sigh...I expect he will be a gentleman and simply ignore the partisan hate.

And neither was it Saddam, Paul, on whom we've wasted countless lives and billions of dollars. For what? I never felt threatened by this mid-eastern twit.charlie

Maybe he will hold the head of Usama high in the air with one hand and the head of the renegade shake who ordered the killing of Americans in the other.Oh well, a boy can dream, can't he? ;)

Wasting my breath... we seem to be more interested in playing gotcha' than trying to have meaningful discourse... saying more about ouselves than about the subject at hand.

The "right" thing is to lay down a swath of Daisy cutters through central Iraq. Fill in the hole with water, plant a few palm trees...Pave over the area for parking... Sell it to Disney....Dust off the military equipment and bring the troops home. OH yes, lay a pipeline to the coast and annex the whole thing as the 51st state.!!! ;)

Another waste of good keystrokes:
1. Didn't lie.
2. Didn't kill.
3. Not a wag the dog war.

Watching the prez now. Who within his administration is trying to sabotage him by suggesting this press conference?

"This country must go on the offense and stay on the offense." W. Tonight. Most of the press questions are just plain ole stupid. Personal observation."The world is better off without Sadam Hussein.""There is an historic opportunity to change the world." Referring to helping Iraq become a bastion of democracy in the Middle East; and to eliminating those who would eradicate our American (western) way of life.

Re: Maybe Bush will do the right thing tonight...

An outstanding conversation with our President, as he deals with a dim and hostile press. He is talking to Americans, directly. Much of W's conversation is off the cuff, as if he was sitting around your kitchen table, having a coffee with you, explaining why we must eradicate terorism, why we must not let our sons and brothers and fathers and sisters and mothers and daughters die in vain, whether it be in Iraq, Afghanistan or the World Trade Center."We are making progress. My message today to those in Iraq is we'll stay the course, we'll complete the job, you'll have what you need."Responding to the press, "Those who yell will not be heard from."W. is the right leader in the right place at the right time. Thank God.

Still optimistic about finding WMD, has no clue who we're turning the country over to on June 30th, unwilling to answer why he needs the Dick to hold his hand before the 9/11 commission, finally admits we are "occupiers"....I voted for the man last time and will again in November but he is being led astray.

I'm glad he spoke to the nation tonight. I hope he does it often. There is so much stupid, spineless, whining, politically-motivated Bush bashing bathing the media these days from press and liberal politicians that the best anti-dote is to hear the courage and good sense of the President himself. Great job!

The only thing electrifying about his speech was his tie. Same ole, Same ole, tired reasons why good men and women have to die in Iraq.
