It took taxation without representation to incite the hearts and minds of the original patriots to revolution; 600 state employees have decided to do the same and resist the tyranny and bullying from Gov. John Baldacci and the Maine State Employees Association (MSEA) and not pay the extortion fee known as "fair share." Yes I know, the drama.

Back in the summer of 2006, on the bullitin board in the Cross Office Building there was a poster that had the salaries of the top 10-15 people at MSEA. They went from $70,000 to $95,000 per year. It was there for a few days and than disappeared. I wonder if the rank and file understand what the brass at MSEA are earning? Every governor since Curtis has been asked to do "fair share",
all refused until Baldacci.
