Leaving The Democrats

Well said......

I never went to college, I am totally self-taught. I am a doer of many trades and master of none. I have had a great life in the greatest country on earth. All along the way, the Democrats have stepped on me, taxed me more, lied to me, called me names, and demand I give up my rights. Democrats were the ones pushing environmental causes at the expense of humans and government takeover of healthcare. They have mismanaged everything they get their hands on, and then blame others for their own deeds. I watch them lie and cheat and twist words. Democrats have alienated their own base to the point they have to argue for foreigners to come into this country illegally in order to vote for Democrats, mainly by calling those of us opposed to this "racist."

In all fairness, the weak Republicans in our government have hardly stood in their way. But that is another day, another rant.

I am now called racist, homophobic, misogynist, and Islamaphobic. A gun-toting, Bible-believing bitter clinger. A deplorable. A white nationalist. Nazi. I can’t remember all of my Democrat party subtitles.

But I am middle class. I have been given nothing by our government and have given too much to it. And it always wants more, telling me I have to pay my fair share. It is a sad state when you get to a point in life of maximum dollars earned that it is taken away by higher tax brackets and the loss of deductions.

Won’t it be nice to have a First Lady who was born in the United States and isn’t a former escort?

Ugeneto I stand corrected he IS only a mayor but in a democratic field of candidates that’s a mile wide and an inch deep it’s easy to get confused. And with all of those outstanding records of accomplishment things get mixed up ...I just keep getting lost in all the free stuff I’m going to get.....and all the bad guys and boogeymen that will be taken down!

Speaking of free, here is a good read about the so called "free" health care system in Canada compared to what we have now:

If I lived in Canada, I'd be dead.

So apparently dead with

So apparently dead with insurance is somehow better than dead without insurance. Odd...

Here, it's possible to: 2) use personal funds 3) use family funds 4) use charity funds 5) fundraise online - to pay for health care. You're not allowed to do that in Canada. Or the UK. Or anywhere else with single-payer plans. The "death panels" decide for you what can be purchased and what is not allowed.

Remember, the single-payer plans proposed don't allow private money to be used... that is said to increase costs unacceptably. The "death panels" are always a part of those proposals.

This means if the panel decides your care is not "cost effective", then you do without. Even if you die. Unless you're rich, of course, and can just go overseas to pay for the care (which is what the "more-equals" who propose these plans for us are planning to do for their own care).

Got cancer that’s stage four, because you work at Mal-Wart at $10 an hour and never went to the doctor til it was too late? Toolsmith suggests: kickstarter! Good thing you live in America!

Mattybubbles friends, working

Mattybubbles friends, working at Walmart, have got to be pretty stupid to allow their affliction to get to the stage 4 point when they easily could have walked in to an emergency room and gotten care for, what amounts to, virtually nothing out of pocket.

Canadians do have private insurance plans available to them.
It covers the thirty percent that the government run system requires the user to pay out of pocket, as well as what isn't covered such as prescriptions, optometrist services, dental, chiropractic, physiotherapy, and any other services deemed not essential by the government.
Furthermore, Canadian citizens are free to come down and glom on to our high quality health care system by paying for services out of pocket if they don't want to wait for the months it takes to get diagnostic care such as MRI, and CAT scan services.
As such OOP payers, they tend to shop for what they need in order to get the best deal.
Something we here in the US don't do because of the convoluted third party payer system that leads to ever higher health care costs.

John, why even pay for insurance? Udouche says you can walk into any hospital and get treatment for virtually nothing.

Spend a couple of hours in an emergency room waiting area Mattybubbles, and then come tell us how the steady stream of indigents and addicts will pay for their care.

Udouche says the answer to the lack of affordable healthcare is addiction and indigence! Not quite as attractive as indiegogo, but a great suggestion nevertheless! You guys are on the top of your game in this thread! Problem solved!

The examples given are the problem... if the system decides your treatment costs too much, you won't get any. Stage 4 will not be paid for... even if there is still a chance of saving you.

Of course, the 1% in Canada is just like the 1% here... they just jump a border and pay for it themselves, so it doesn't affect them.

Well all this is about to

Well all this is about to change for me.... as of 9/1 I will be part of the “entitlement class” I will drop my health insurance and start using Medicare....My last doctor appointment cost me $140 and another $70 for the blood work ...under Medicare it would cost me to the best of my calculations $20.....Of course it’s not free I still have to pay $135 a month but as far as I can see it’s a whole lot better than the buttf*****g Ive been taking from the insurance company....now if I can just get some fuel assistance, food stamps and some pocket money iI will be a happy camper....my last prescription cost me $30 I think it will be $2 .....I wish I could say I feel a little shame about being on the giverment dole....but they’ve been taking money out of me since I was 13....
