Kentucky Takes Out Their Trash

Despite a last minute plea from Fat Nixon, the Democratic candidate for governor won Kentucky’s gubernatorial election yesterday. A stunning defeat for Republicans and a harbinger of things to come in 2020.

If they get rid of Moscow Mitch next year, I swear I might vacation there.

Also, Virginia went Democratic yesterday, flipping both state chambers. Another sign the country is ready to root out the party of MAGAts and traitors.

Burn your MAGA hats now...

A Democrat won, and a woman

A Democrat won Portland’s mayoral race - and a woman to boot. Win-win.

Kentucky went to Trümp in 2016 by 30 percentage points and the GOP couldn’t hold on to the governorship.

That’s YUGE.

The Administration spin cycle

The Administration spin cycle is in overdrive today. Trump knows the moment GOP candidates think supporting him is a loser for them, he will be in handcuffs.

Not quite as clear cut as you

Not quite as clear cut as you claim...

"Meanwhile, Kentucky GOP Gov. Matt Bevin looks to have lost his reelection bid in a tight race — made tight only thanks to President Donald Trump's last-minute campaign efforts that clearly helped shore up support for Bevin, who was trailing badly in the polls. However, Bevin has not yet conceded, claiming voting irregularities. Kentucky also made history by electing its first black attorney general, Daniel Cameron, who is also that commonwealth's first Republican to hold the office in over 70 years. While much of the mainstream media sees Kentucky as a loss for Trump, the fact of the matter is that five of the six Republicans on the ballot won."

That from the Patriot Post

While I agree that the State that gives us the Majority Leader of the US Senate should be labeled a “backwater” State, it nonetheless should be somewhat embarrassing to the reigning party to have the POTUS attend a rally in the “backwater” state and plead “don’t do this to me” by not getting the “nothing burger” across the finish line.
