Colleen could always try making comments about wanting to 'off' someone who rates secret service protection with her 'game face' on, and see what happens.
Or, you might wonder what would happen if a 'non-Democrat' did so.
We wonder what seeds Batman murder sprees and other Columbine like violent attacks spring from. While it's obvious that millions can engage in such fantasy worlds with no danger to others, that's not the point here, is it?
I have no problem asserting that someone who wants go 'govern' on our behalf, to legislate our world so that it conforms to her view, should be above such excursions on the j-axis to get her jollies.
Not to mention, the despicable comments she made about Governor LePage.
From the PPH article.
Some of the posts sharply criticize Republican Gov. Paul LePage....."Of course, I've never known any 11 year olds that can support
themselves except through drug dealing or sex work, and I work with
kids," she writes. "Odd that we never heard any of this when he was the
mayor of Waterville."
This woman is a social worker, who deals with children?
Rep. McKane, thank you for posting the "typical" email you've received. If you get a minute, could you please post your response? Thank you.
Unfortunately, on "geek" sites like Slashdot, Ars Techana, and Wired, the only part of the story that's being reported is "Republicans don't like gaming", and once again, the core of the story (playing games on company time, threatening statements, defaming people) is left out.
Maine GOP’s World of Trouble (according to the BDN!)
......."The catapults at the Maine Republican Party have been rearmed with fresh mud as Communications Director David Sorensen fires some heavy shots at a Democratic candidate for State Senate who plays a computer game. The sad part is, this isn’t a joke".......
........"It very well could be possible that the Maine Republican Party never intended to attack the nine million gamers who helped propel World of Warcraft to the record for most popular MMORPG in terms of subscriber base, according to Guinness World Records".......
None (zip, nada) of her offending comments were included in this piece. The world needs to know what this is really about, and that it is NOT a game!
[url=http://undercoverporcupine.bangordailynews.com/2012/10/05/politics/maine... go here and leave a commment as I did, the public needs to know this is about far more than just "gaming" as the BDN would like us to believe[/url]
The first celebrity to endorse Mitt Romney.
I'ts nice to see just how out of touch our party has become.
Not sure what you are up to, Stav. But if you're sticking up for this candidate, I'm speechless.
zmogus Sat, 10/06/2012 - 9:06am #58: "It's a game. The X-generation plays these types of games."
Please read what the thread is about before commenting. It has nothing to do with liking "games".
The Maine Legislature has had enough "high drama," between du Houx & Herbig, and other legislators withdrawing for one reason or another.
The State House is facing numerous challenges, on the budget and various departmental and regulation issues. The very last thing Maine's Legislature needs is another juvenile member, who doesn't know the difference between acting on the public's best behalf, and being a self-serving prima donna.
Rep. McKane, thank you for posting the "typical" email you've received. If you get a minute, could you please post your response?
I didn't respond.
Naran Sat, 10/06/2012 - 10:38am #60: "Lachowicz and her husband are still deleting any blog comments that aren't favorable to her position on this issue.
What are you afraid of, Colleen?
She's too deep into the big lie now to allow anything that will expose her. It's all or nothing. Maine newspapers are also suppressing comments that straightforwardly explain the scam.
"Journalists" are covering for her in a dishonest betrayal of their own profession. Their desire to put radical leftists into power in government is more important to them and they see the exploitation of their profession as a means to do it. Pat Caddell is right that many in the press are no longer a protection against government corruption and are now a threat to the people by hiding and suppressing facts we all have a right to know. The worst of the Democrats count on and encourage this. They want power over other people and they mean it.
People find it too enjoyable to have (uninformed) opinions. So they won't bother even trying to find out the truth about this woman. They'll just take a little of the crap that the lamestream media throws out and form an opinion.....it's the easy way to do it.
So: Republicans lose this one. C'est la vie.
RE: Rep. McKane post 70. Nice move.
Silence is the height of contempt.
$5000 raised for the MPA and Maine Democratic Party yesterday.
Number one trending search on Yahoo today.
Some people don't believe in ignoring the truth just because the other side might make some money.
Personally, I don't care how much money the MPA or the Maine Democrats make from Colleen Lachowicz trying to lie about the real reason the GOP published her fetid online comments. To me, it's more important that Maine voters in her district know the truth, before they cast a ballot on November 6th.
Meanwhile, she's still blocking any comments or questions on her blog page that are remotely critical.
Why won't Colleen Lachowicz put on her "Big Girl" pants, and answer honest questions on her blog from Maine residents?
She plays an Orc online - why is she such a coward in reality?
She's happy to post the comments from overseas - the ones supporting her gaming habits.
Why not the questions from Maine voters?
......."Why won't Colleen Lachowicz put on her "Big Girl" pants, and answer honest questions on her blog from Maine residents?".......
Because that is they way liberal democrats always work. The party of "tolerance" wants plent of tolerance for themselves and their followers, yet have zero tolerance for those they disagree with.
It is a very shallow, and mind closing existence.
And it prevents one from learning anything new........because they already know it all. This lady, removing all the negative comments, and Obama the other night, looking like he wished to be most anyplace else, are classic examples of close mindeness, and intolerance of anyone elses ideas!
They are very shallow people.
Colleen needs to 'girl up!'
What a wussy.
What's that they say, including one Michelle Obama?
"Tough challenges don't build character, they reveal it."
True enough, Michelle. Maybe you could call Colleen and remind her.
You might want to call Alex du Houxy Phooey and remind him as well.
Power-seeking, delusional political candidates who live by the lie have no use for character. Appeals to her to own up to anything are completely irrelevant.
Today's Dilbert cartoon is very timely...
This story has brought nothing but a black eye to the Maine GOP. I have followed this story from the Bangor Daily News to the BBC and it has done nothing but shine a negative light on the Republican Party. The PR person from the Maine GOP should do the right thing and resign.
......."This story has brought nothing but a black eye to the Maine GOP"........
I guess that is what one would think............if they only wanted to see the part of the story that the BDN, and other places, wrote about.
Somehow I don't think that anyone, regardless fo party affilliation, should be in high elected office, after they have written comments to the fact that they would like to see certain named "conservative" political figures dead, and even profess to want to be part of that. Anyone who would write, in a public place, that they would like to see Grover Norquist, and others, dead, does not belong in any elected office in the USA!
But then again, I am not a member of the "party of tolerance" that is trying to cover the butt of another typical liberal degenerate!
But she is a proper liberal democrat........and because of that, she can do no wrong, ever, in those circles!
I am a 14 year member of the Maine GOP and I am embarrassed about this. This is nothing more than another failure of Chairman Webster.
The depth of misunderstanding on this is astonishing.
Even more, the inability of R public relations operatives to leverage the behavioral depravity of this candidate is breath-taking. Aren't there any pros around?
Mel, I agree with you. Why isn't someone from the Maine GOP getting in touch with FOX, BBC, et al. and telling the "rest of the story" in this situation. Remarkable silence. It's alarming?
For heavens sake in 14 years as a party member if you have not gotten the fact that our culture is being demeaned by these things that degrade people you have a problem!
The problem is for the normal person these things are a fantasy , begging the question what has happened to our fantasies, to the others and there are many these things become a
reality in which separation of things is not easy ! It becomes dangerous. Now Colleen might not do anything as a gamer but what about the gamer who crosses the line between fantasy and
reality, then says well in the game so and so(her character alter ego) does it and it is OK!!
All that aside this is classless , stupid, moronic and everything else one can think of in a person not running for office.
For a candidate for dog catcher this would be unacceptable, in todays' world that would be more of a issue unfortunately, for a candidate for high public office
it is 100% unacceptable regardless of any excuse from the candidate!
Maybe this is a case where the establishment is drawing a line and not taking the PC route of over looking this.
It is funny but she can critique the govs'. back ground in a classless clueless manner yet one is not to do so to her!!!
This is not a mistake for the party period . It is time we take a stand against trash and the purveyors of it!
While a fantasy about doing something I suppose is something one does, when you name people you would like to kill
you have crossed the line of appropriateness !
Maybe she needs to play "Rehab-The Game," where your Avatar spends the first week or two in a fantasy straight-jacket.
Bluejay - if you read the preceding pages, you will see that GOP spokesman David Sorensen did interview with the BBC and other news organizations, to present the GOP position on these issues. Whether they printed his comments is another question.
Day Three --- 181 reader comments on the blog page where Lachowicz responded to the GOP complaints about her online comments.
Lachowicz has not published one comment or question from the Maine residents who have written to ask for an explanation of her vicious, hateful comments about Republicans and Governor LePage.
Lachowicz pretends to be a big, bad Orc online. Why is she such a coward in reality?
Lachowicz in her imagination.
Lachowicz in reality.
How do you pronounce her last name - is it "lack o' wits?"
