The best Talk Radio shows in America

We seem to have a nice variety of good Talk Radio shows in our country... what's your favorite?

That's a tough question, IMO, but I'd vote for Sean Hannity at this point in time even though I realize he also does a lot of TV stuff.

It's rare for me to be in the

It's rare for me to be in the same market more than two days in a row. No matter where I am, I will always search for Rush.

Occasionally, the searching is the best part; when I can't find Rush I often do find good local shows and some lower tier syndicated hosts who are worth a listen. I'll listen to the rest of the national syndicates only by default.

If anything big breaks, especially in New England and I'm sitting still, I'll stream Howie Carr

I like the George and Rick

I like the George and Rick show on WVOM - 101.3FM - in the morning...especially the section on 'What Tee's You Off". A little of George, however, goes a long way.

Listen to Rush but lately he seems off his game and tends to repeat his points over and over until i shut him off.

Howie Carr is very good...especially the "Chump Line" and his police news.

I was trapped in a car

I was trapped in a car recently with some folks who insisted on listening to Mr. OxyContin aka Rush.

My laughter made them turn off the radio. I thought it was a comedy show, but they actually were agreeing with his vile dialogue.

Bringing my iPod from now on.

I like “Car Talk” with Click and Clack. Good stuff!

I enjoyed Rush a lot more

I enjoyed Rush a lot more back when he was funnier. Howie Carr is always good, Micheal Savage is full of himself but makes good points.

Johnw, I agree. Both he and

Johnw, I agree. Both he and Rush need to get into the weeds and bring up news and data that is relevant, interesting and on point. There are all kinds of data out there on which states are bankrupt, racist, run by Democrat felons etc but they never get specific. The recent videos on the various border barriers around the world are so easy to reference but they don't, they prattle on. Hannity could have repeated his show from two weeks ago and none if it would be different. I particularly dislike the Hannity and Fox News flashing on screen "Breaking News" and it turns out to be old stale crap we all know. However, they sure beat the hell out of every fake news media out there.

Thanks be to Donald Trump - may peace be upon him - for saving us from Hillary.

Plus one on Watcher's

Plus one on Watcher's comments. I liked Rush when he espoused the American spirit and entrepreneurism, but lately he just seems to be playing "gotcha" instead of talking about ideas and ideals. I liked Neal Boortz a lot, but he's not on the air in this area anymore. I spent a lot of time over the last 30 years listening to Public Radio, but they've taken a leftist turn and frankly I'm tired of their arrogant soft-toned "holier than thou" style of delivery.

It does seem like both Public

It does seem like both Public Radio & Public TV have taken a major Left turn, and yet they're still allowed to get funded by us taxpayers. That needs to be corrected.

I notice that informed people

I notice that informed people listen to conservative talk radio. It is also evident in the posts, those who do not. Sadly , there seem to be a lot of people who believe whatever is on CNN and never listen to real news or commentary. We are the poorer for it.

Question though, "Who will fill Rushes shoes when he retires?"

Those are some hard shoes to fill, Rebecca.

Finding another OxyContin addicted fat bigot with four marriages under their belt is going to be tough.

Tommy can you hear me?

Tommy can you hear me?

Although your jabs are sometimes funny, I'd rather hear your ideas than your negativity. I'm trying to get past that myself - it's harder to think that is to emote, but I find it gets easier as time passes

Carter, you're full of

Carter, you're full of surprises! LBJ's war, for example, who would have ever guessed a communist pagan like yourself would continually take another person to task for not serving the military, which you also appear to loathe.
Next, you appear to favor illicit drug use but continually lambaste a man who fell under control of a pain killer but has apparently fought off addiction and regained control of his life.
You are a buffoon's buffoon with no apparent redeeming qualities.

TC you have forgotten that

TC you have forgotten that today as the dems. rule in Augusta we have a new gov. ,who has pledged to fix the "disordered " citizens killing themselves with drugs.
Since she is opposite of the former gov. you loved much I would think your posts would be reflective of that.
But alas your post shave no purpose other than to zing the members of this forum for what ever purpose it serves you .

Let's hear Carter's likes

Let's hear Carter's likes rather than his abundant dislikes; for example does Tom Carter favor Elizabeth Warren, or Sparticus? Granted, neither are of Hillary Clinton's caliber. but how about you, Carter, explaining the strengths of potential Democratic Party presidential candidates.
Anyone can complain and condemn, how about sharing your hopes and dreams for Maine and the nation.

Isn't Kim Kardashian joining the CNN "news team" this spring? Heard her tagline is going to be "the bottom" line in news.

Why should he? None of you malcontents do that here, unless you call paranoid hyperbole an expression of hopes of dreams.

You are the provocateur, you

You are the provocateur, you should expect some resistance - especially when you attack people's faith. It's none of your business, pagan, who or what other people value - how they live their lives, who they worship.

Don't confuse obsession with pity.

I don’t care if you think some invisible imaginary zombie Jew is your friend.

It’s kind of cute.

What’s “kind of cute” is

What’s “kind of cute” is someone who believes all of this that we are a part of just happened by chance, the random collision of particles and energy ....That there’s no rhyme or reason for our existence........but then again for those who don’t believe in anything beyond this life, maybe there isn’t anything ,maybe it’s just that simple, when they lay down and close their eyes and breath that last breath there is nothing else........No zombie Jew god to worry about just an end to existence.

You have it right, jw. When

You have it right, jw. When you shed your mortal coil, you cease to exist. Period.

You don’t go to some happy white fluffy cloud-castle with unlimited shrimp cocktail and harp music played by Caucasian cherubs with wings.

Nor do you go to some fiery cave filled with wailing sinners like Phyllis Schlafly, Nancy Reagan, and Pol Pot. No, you’re just plain dead. Worm food.

But seriously, this thread is about radio shows. Enough mythology.

I like to listen to the Kim Komando Show. Lots of good ‘puter advice, and I love her voice.

Finally.....something that gives TC a woodie he can work with.

Like they say.....everybody's got to believe in something. TC says "I believe I'll light up another doobie to go with my brownie."

Carter knows nothing,

Carter knows nothing, absolutely nothing about Christianity or the Bible, or life for that matter.
I'm reading about Martin Luther and found this, speaking of Erasmus Roterodamus, a humanist: " ....he is not stupefied with wonder at a child in the womb. He does not contemplate marriage with reverend amazement., nor praise and thank God for the marvel of a flower or the bursting of a peachstone by the swelling seed. He beholds these wonders like a cow staring at a new door. The deficiency of faith is made evident by a lack of wonder, for nature is a revelation only to those to whom God has already been revealed.
Drugs, self love, the inability to see or hear and cynicism has cheated Mr. Carter of so much. After years of consideration and reflection hell is not a fiery lake; it is the complete absence of God. One lives their life rejecting God can expect an eternity of exile with no hope for redemption. Nor is Heaven angels with harps on clouds.
Point is, it's a shame that people stagger through life never knowing God, or worse than that, mocking those that do. My faith affects no one negatively, I live and let live as do most Christians I know. The difference is that I live my life with the knowledge that this experience is a gift for which I am very thankful for.
