Six British SAS members credit their dog for saving their lives in the course of an ambush while on patrol in Syria. The dog, a Belgian Malinois, ripped the throat out of one of the jihadi attackers, and apparently seriously injured two others who fled. Six others were stated to have fled as well before they got a chance to play with the puppy. So much for those pitbulls drug dealers seem to so highly regard............
The Belgian Malinois is an incredible animal; not only as an attack dog, but an athlete.
This is absolutely amazing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=orAGU04T0rc
I read somewhere that grey foxes were the only K-9 that had a limited ability to climb trees. So much for that theory, the Malinois seem to run up them rather than simply just climb.
That really is something.

I stand corrected-the Asian raccoon dog apparently also can climb trees.

Sure puts to shame the Maine ankle-biting sloth commonly seen in these here parts.
I think the Malinois going across the tight-rope, forward and backward is the most astonishing.
I wonder if their emotional bonds are as intense as their athleticism.
Agreed. You usually get the sense that police dogs have extremely strong bonds with their handlers.
As for attack purposes the entire action is based on the fear of the dog by
person being attacked.
No fear of dogs can bring about a different result.
I think I'll pump Bluejay's link through the TV and make my ankle-biting schlub watch it before I feed him. He should be embarrassed-but won't........
What the F are British soldiers doing in Syria? They looking for granddad's watch?
