I am so pleased that I voted for a man with a spine, George W. Bush.

The lesser of two evils Paul. How many wasted dead GI's in Iraq now? And the true evil, Osama, runs free taunting "W"?charlie

Obviously terrorism isn't important to John Kerry. He missed an entire year of intelligence meetings after 9/11.

About 3,000, George. But Charlien and his/her ilk don't particularly mind that. They think America had it coming, you see. They believe that 9/11 was a fit punishment for America's strength, power, freedom. What America should do to avoid future 9/11s, according to the likes of Charlien, is to grovel at the feet of the UN and the EU, and give vasts amounts of money to backward countries that hate us. Not to mention allow the total extermination of Israel at the hands of Islamofascists. Yeah, the same wackos that want to blow us up to kingdom come.Only then, will Charlien and his ilk feel proud of their country.

Re: I wonder if Rove is...

What extremely large commitee is helping Kerry write his concession speech? Or will he wait for a poll to find out just how to word "you win"?
Perhaps he'll decide to concede before he decides not to concede. If, while he is conceding, he gets a paper cut, will he put in for the Purple Heart?CharlieN, if I remember correctly, you are a vet.
How on EARTH can you vote for a man who is so transparently a phony????

Re: I wonder if Rove is...

And on this issue of Osama "running free"--Just how long did it take to run the Unabomber to ground? How about Rudolph, the guy who allegedly bombed the Atlanta abortion clinics? How many criminals are at large in our own country, despite intensive searchs? That's here on our home turf; you're moaning about looking for someone who has had the backing of nation-states, and has been at large in some of the most inhospitible regions of the planet. And, on the issue of "wasting our guys": how come in every poll and every chance they get , virtually all of them support Bush and say that Iraq is worth it? Are they all lying? Why is it that the Democratic Party is working to suppress the military vote in Pennslyvania and elsewhere?
I've heard Iraq veterans with my own ears; they weren't coerced, they were telling me what was on their hearts. I believe them--why don't you?

No Bob, "W's" been doing that since invading Iraq and letting Osama slip away. The wrong enemy!Saddam is/was the leader of a third world nation lacking the ability and will to threaten us on our own soil.Osama on the other hand proved his...what ever! You sorry bastards just had to see someone get their ass kicked for 9/11, and it didn't matter who? Saddam was just easier that the real culprit, Osama!charlie

Re: I wonder if Rove is...

Charlie...You are woefully misinformed. We have had thousands of GI's in Afghanistan non-stop since shortly after 9/11. And they have been hunting for Osama ever since. How do you know, or how does Kerry know, that OBL was ever at Tora Bora? My neighbor's grandson is an Army Ranger and has crawled over just about every inch of that God-forsaken mountain range over the past year. Every now and then they encounter some jihadis and routinely kick their asses. I would have to deduce that "he ain't there". If you or Kerry know where he is, call the DOD.OBL apparently on the move and he will be found. I am stunned to learn that there are so many Americans that think that it is just fine to have Saddam in power, harboring terrorists and killing about 70,000 Iraqis a year.I think you are on the wrong side of history.

Re: I wonder if Rove is...

You know, Charlie, you might have a case if W just woke up one day and said, "You know, it's time we moved in on Saddam and had a nice little war". However, it has been the official policy of the United States Goverment, voted on in Congress and signed by Saint Bill Clinton, to cause regime change in Iraq. All sorts of Democrats, including Al Gore both during and after he was in office, stated that we needed to get Saddam out of Iraq. And, dammit, everybody--
EVERYBODY--believed that Saddam had WMDs, the ability to make WMDS, the intent to make WMDS.
Republicans believed it, Democrats believed it,
UN delegates believed it, Frenchmen believed it,
little green men on Mars believed it. GROW UP,
DAMMIT!!!! You are about to try to vote someone into office who has probably lied about his military service, absolutely lied about his fellow veterans when he came back from Vietnam, has NEVER supported the military in 30 years of public life, and has NO business being within a country mile of the Oval Office because he is utterly unqualified to be there.
An irrational hatered of Bush is no reason to deepsix the country. Wake up, man!

None, charlie. Not a one, despite your 'feelings'.That's the difference between an altruist and an antagonist like youself. Our soldiers died protecting your freedom regardless of your opinions on the matter. It was their choice to do so, NOT YOURS. You have no control over their ultimate selfless act.Is that what bothers you?

Charlie, Im so sick of your politicizing the troops dying!!!!!!! I just watched a story on MSNBC the other night being told by the wife of a man who just died in Iraq. The last letter he wrote her home was about how proud he was of his President and their effort in an Iraq that desperately needed their help. She said he would be so ashamed if Kerry was elected . That alone would switch me from Bush hater to Bush Supporter .

To think for a second attacking Iraq contributed to the safety of the US of A is absurd. History will show this to be the case, Bob.People here think I support these terrorist, nothing could be further from the truth. But neither do I support 'terrorism' on the part of my government either.charlie

Re: I wonder if Rove is...

I just hung up from a conversation with a fellow AMG'r who is deploying for six months on a guided missile cruiser in the Persian Gulf. I won't get into details, but he is leaving at the worst possible time for him and his family. We were talking about the election. We both thought that Bush could have had a second term and won going away if he had not pushed the issue with Iraq. It has given the MSM and the liberals something to lie about and attack him with. But he did, because it was the right thing to do. And he might just lose a second term because he went in and finished what the UN couldn't finish.Bush will be able to sleep at night because he did the honorable thing. Win or los.We joked that the cruiser will be back home early if Kerry wins. :) Please join me in wishing our fellow AMG'er "fair winds and following seas". He will definitely be in harm's way.

Charlie, why don't you address some of the points that have been posted here? Or are you just another hit and run poster? You're a Kerry guy,
defend the indefensible.

Re: I wonder if Rove is...

...Which is a easy way to weasel out of not being able to argue your points, which are themselves absurd. You don't have an answer, because you're wrong, but just aren't honest enough to admit it.
And now you're going to vote for the Hollow Man
because of irrationality...
